1. Bazaarboy:
Bazaarboy is a unique marketplace that allows students to buy, sell and trade items. It was created by a team of students from diverse corners of campus and is dedicated to catalyzing community activity. Whether someone is looking for used items or local business deals, Bazaarboy has it covered. The website is debuting this week at WASHU and SLU and hopes to bridge the social gap between the two schools. 2. Gary Kasparov:
Garry Kasparov, the best chess player of all time, a champion of democracy in Russia, and a world renowned financial expert is coming to speak to campus on Monday, April 2nd. Starting at 4:30 P.M. Mr. Kasparov will be delivering a 45 minute lecture and conducting a 30 minute Q + A session in Graham Chapel, followed by a 45 minute reception and chess exhibition in the Women's Building Formal Lounge. Don't miss out on the premiere speaker of the semester and one of the world's most interesting men.

Who’s hungry in the U.S., and how & why the demographics are changing

Which of the following demographics of Americans DO NOT have struggles with providing enough food for their family?
a. Households with two-incomes
b. Middle-class white collar workers
c. Retired Senior Citizens
The truth is all of the above groups represent the new faces of those who are facing food insecurity every day in the United States. LuAnn Oros, Community Consultant on Hunger and Homelessness in the Community Service Office, will lead the discussion, including a viewing of recent videos and public service announcements drawing attention to this widening issue.

6. CARE Logo Design:
Logo Design Contest:
CARE is a coalition of Wash. U. student groups, staff members, and community partners who work to end sexual assault and dating violence on campus and in our region. In April, we are launching a website at care.wustl.edu that will have a calendar of events, survivor support resources, volunteer opportunities, and much, much more.
What we need from YOU: A logo! CARE is looking for creative students to submit their ideas for our website logo. There are no color or content requirements, but we do encourage submissions to be sleek and easy to reproduce. The creator of the chosen design wins a gift valued at $125, including gift cards to the campus store and Dick Blick. Submit entries in JPEG form to: kim_webb@wustl.edu

Oprah’s Lifeclass is coming to St. Louis on March 26th and we are looking for enthusiastic students who would like to attend the show at the Peabody Opera House!
